Not many brands epitomise summer as well as Havaianas, and this new campaign definitely shows why. The shoe manufacturer most known for it’s range of espadrilles have just finished their European Summer Tour promoting their new range of Epsadrille Origins. Having gone to a wide range of cities, from London and Paris through to Madrid and Milan, to crowdsource a series of brand videos to show off the essence of their brand.
To achieve this they shot a “lomo matrix” effect with their fans, using a panaroma of camera in Hyde Park and other locations to catch people in the spirit of the moment. By seaming them all together sequentially they create a panaroma of the scene with a few low budget cameras. It’s an incredibly simple and endearing way to create an effect we’ll all be familiar with from high budget Hollywood films.
The espadrilles, just as the iconic flip-flops, are at the core of the brand, as they are essentially flip-flops with a piece of canvas above. This opens a world of benefits, as they are water resistant, light and durable. We’ve got a pair in the post at the moment, so keep an eye on our Facebook page for pictures.
You can also keep updated on Havaianas in the future by going to their Facebook page or by going to their official website. We hope you like the video and it makes you feel a bit more summery, despite the horrible weather!
