To celebrate their 175th anniversary, Hermès has opened it’s new exhibition Leather Forever at 6 Burlington Gardens, W1. Through the journey of 12 rooms you will discover Hermès’ dynamism, quality and perfectionism that has made it one of the most luxurious and established brands in the entire world.

Their aim is for visitors to enjoy the ‘playful evocation of the relationship between Hermès and leather, a tale with many a twist yet to come’ and discover ‘profound answers to that desire for things of lasting worth, a desire that is so powerfully resonant in this new century’. A room devoted to their iconic Kelly and Birkin handbags, and one for their first (and most loyal) client, a horse, along with live demonstrations by craftspeople from Hermès’ Paris workshop there is sure to be something here for everyone to admire, marvel at or simply lust after.

The exhibition is open now until 27th May, Saturday-Thursday 10am-6pm and Friday 10am-10pm Admission is free.

Hermès Leather Forever, in association with The Royal Academy

About Alex Bucktin

I'm a graphic designer for a London ad agency but being creative isn't just a 9-5 thing for me. Its part of everyday life. I have an unhealthy obsession with typography, I ski like I have a death wish and my ideal afternoon would be spent walking the dogs and baking french macaroons. I collect china tea cups and shoes, and have no idea what I want to be when I finally grow up.
