It’s been a while since we did the last spotlight piece, and it’s something I really enjoyed doing on the old site. Bringing it back baby!

It’s been quite a quiet week for news, so it seems as good a time as any to highlight some upcoming talent. Shane Horn is a graphics designer currently on placement at my agency, Billington Cartmell. Having just graduated from Portsmouth, he’s specialising in digital and has a really interesting design approach.

Using a lot of particles and abstract imagery, Shane combines photography with surrealist particle effects to create some really amazing pieces.

Despite working in digital at the moment, Shane has worked across a wide variety of platforms, and his portfolio showcases his work on band merchandise, flyers, books, branding, art installations and more.

He is currently working at Billington Cartmell with Pete and I, and he’s doing some absolutely phenomenal work, so make sure you keep an eye out for him.

You can view the rest of Shane’s work on his portfolio, and follow him on Twitter.

Are you a fan of his work? What’s your favourite piece? If so, let us know in the comments or on Facebook, and we’ll be sure to pass on any feedback.

About Felix Morgan

Between the hours of 9-6 I work as a Creative Technologist at Billington Cartmell, a creative ad agency. I’m obsessed with all things new, which led to me working in the innovation team at my company. I’m an absolute media junkie, and try and keep on top of all the latest music, films, TV shows and games, which prompted me to found Control The Riot.
