On BTE4 there was always a big split in music preference, with half the users preferring the more chilled out indie music we posted, and the other half liking the dubstep and electro. Now we’ve expanded our writers a bit, we’ve got the luxury of variety, and we can offer you both.

Future track packs will be split into two sections:

Addiction will offer you pumped up electro, dubstep, hip-hop and dnb, giving you all the ingredients for a good night out.
Recovery will give you the perfect morning after cure, with an eclectic mix of indie, lo-fi, alternative, and all things easier on the ear.

I’m going to be taking over the Addiction packs, whilst Adam will be in charge of Recovery. There’s going to be a lot of overlap inevitably, but if one of them is slacking, you know who the buck stops with!

Just to get the concept flowing, this first post is going to include a nice selection of both.

Addiction

Stromae ft. Gilbere Forte & Kanye West – Alors On Danse
Bruno Mars ft. Lupe Fiasco – Just The Way You Are
Plan B – The Recluse Nero Remix
Netsky – Pirate Bay
Kanye West ft. Pusha T – Runaway
Hoodie Allen – Party At The Beach House
8 Bit Hip-Hop Melody

Recovery

Baths – Animals
Pogo – Bangarang
Chromeo feat. Ezra Koenig – Could Be Wrong
Star Slinger – May I Walk With You
Esben and The Witch – Marching Song
Janelle Monae – Cold War

Let us know what you think! We rely on your feedback to roll this shit out, so don’t sit there twiddling your thumbs, get involved.
