Accessories designer Anna Dello Russo is set to design a range for high street fashion brand H&M. Our bank balances have only just recovered from the full on colour bomb that was the Versace collaboration and the fabulous prints and clashing textures from Marni, but this stands to be something a little bit different.
As the fashion director of Vogue Japan, Anna Dello Russo is known for her slight more refined, but defiantly “Gaga-esq’ approach to red carpet looks. Her collection is describe by H&M as “over the top” and “unabashedly glamorous”. A sneek peek released by the Swedish retailer yesterday shows the collection will include jewellery, sunglasses, shoes and bags, with gorgeous turquoise accents, filagree textures and more gold than you could shake a stick at.
‘As a stylist I know accessorization is essential: it is the personal touch to any outfit. With these pieces everybody can have fun, turning an ordinary day into a fantastic fashion day’ Dello Russo said of the collection. H&M’s creative advisor, Margareta van den Bosch commented; “Anna has a fantastic eye and a strong taste, apart from being a veritable fashion icon. She produced an extravagant range of accessories that will get H&M customers and everyone in love with fashion excited.”
As are we. Bring on a high glamour and extravagantly accessorised autumn.
The range will be available in 140 stores and online from October 4. Are you an Anna Dello Russo fan? What do you expect of this collection? Let us know in the comments.
