MADE Blog recently sat down with Errolson Hugh of Acronym to discuss a variety of topics, including the inspirations and origins of the label, his working methods, and where he sees it going in the future.
Hunger is the best chef
- Errolson Hugh
Acronym are a Berlin based clothing design company started by Errolson and his partner Mikaela, specialising in the creation of progressive fashionable clothing rooted in functionality. They specialise in outerware, and operate in an unusual way, taking longer production schedules with smaller teams to perfect their releases. Despite having a lot of success in Japan, in Europe they are a very boutique brand and only work with a select few retailers across the continent.
They also work as a design consulting studio for major brands including Stone Island.
What do you think of Acronym’s approach to design? Does slow and steady win the race, or is it quicker to produce quick and often? Let us know what you think in the comments or on Facebook!
