In case you hadn’t already heard, America’s lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret is opening it’s first European store in London. The new flagship store is currently under construction on designer laden New Bond Street and will open on 25th July, just in time for the London Olympics. A second store in Westfield Stratford will open on the 26th.
Victoria’s Secret was founded in San Francisco in 1977, and with annual sales of around $5 billion it is a surprise that this American institution haven’t looked to expand into Europe sooner. Whatever their reasons for starting their assault on the british high street now, we are grateful that we will soon be able to get our hands on their super silky, sexy underwear without having the pay extortionate shipping costs.
Head to the Victoria’s Secret website to check out the latest US collections, fingers crossed they’ll all be available in the UK! Rumours are abound that the launch will see the attendance of several of the VS Angels, so I’m sure boyfriends won’t mind being dragged along to this event!
Will you be checking out the new store when it opens? Which other US brands would you like to see on the UK high street? Let us know in the comments.
