Flocks of pretty parrots, sweeping swallows and beautiful blue birds seem to have infiltrated all areas of fashion this spring and summer, so, I’ve ‘pecked’ my top pieces from the high street to share with you. Get you hands on some of these birdy beauties before it’s too late!

This gorgeous soft grey colour sets off the subtle and fairly neutral bird print. the fabric and style of this dress makes it suitable for a more formal occasion, but it could be dressed down with flip-flops.

This knitted top has cap sleeves and a small peter pan style collar. The neutral colours will work for all seasons and the pretty woven pattern has a traditional tilt but the bright birdies add some quirk.

4. Weekend bag
The bird and floral pattern bag is bright and bold. The primary colours are really eye catching and the print is super feminine. Perfect for a weekend away as the fabric is sturdy and all those pockets are bound to come in handy!

5. Skirt
A very subtle use of the bird print – the gradual increase in size gives a sort of falling confetti effect. The floaty layers and pink pattern add a needed flirty element as the colour is fairly dark.
6. T-shirt
A striking print, but this monochrome top will also go with any bottoms you choose. Pick jeans for an everyday comfy style, or go a bit edgy with a flowing maxi skirt in a bright hue.
7. Ring
This pretty little guy is an easy way of adding some on-trend cool to any outfit.
8. Shoes
Look closely and you’ll see these are in fact chubby little birdies. A pattern shoe is tricky to pull off, so keep the rest of the outfit simple and let these beauties show themselves off.
