As Summer fades behind us Mulberry have decided to inject us with a bit of sunshine in their new spring summer 2012 catwalk collection.
Taking us back to the 70s and the founding of the British fashion brand, the SS2013 collection takes strong notes from nature with a focus on floral patterns and tropical inspired prints. The collection is incredibly colourful and uses a wide range of sorbet shades and exotic inspiration.
The range draw influences from rural England with a spectrum of natural pastels which will conjure up images of English gardens and countryside. The womenswear places a strong focus on the seventies and finds inspiration from classic English military wear, particularly in the outerwear. Hems fall to the floor and below the knee, and seventies silhouettes are apparent throughout. Check out some of these shots from behind the scenes at London Fashion Week.
You can view more of the collection over at the Mulberry website, as well as see their latest range for Autumn Winter 2012. What do you think of the collection? Will you be investing in floral prints and British heritage next Summer? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
