The first trailer has been released for the upcoming Marvel film, Captain America: The First Avenger.

This film will be the first time the iconic figure has graced the big screen since 1990, and is being hyped up as one of the biggest films of Summer 2011.

Steve Rogers tries to enlist in the Army after Pearl Harbor, but he is rejected because he is physically weak. He is then selected to participate in a United States experimental program. Injected with a serum, Rogers is transformed into the Super Soldier known as Captain America.

Chris Evans will (bizarrely) be playing Captain America, despite already starring in another film in the Marvel universe as the human torch.
