I was worried that this week was going to be a bit dry, because by Wednesday I had very little to post. However, these last few days have brought some real gems, and it’s actually one of my favourite track packs of recent weeks.

We’ve got a great balance of music this week, bringing a very eclectic mix of pumped up music, and I’m torn between two tracks to lead the pack.

First up is the latest track from Lupe Fiasco’s upcoming album, Lasers. This song has been on repeat since I found it, only briefly breaking for the occasional listen to the phenomenal new Crystal Castles song featuring one of my heroes, Robert Smith. The Cure have been one of my favourite bands of all time, and seeing him collaborate with artists like Crystal Castles and Blink 182 just reinforces my adoration.

We’ve also got a new track from Zed’s Dead covering the rolling stones, a new song from Oh Land, and a remix of Metric’s Gold Guns Girls. Finally, we’ve got my favourite track from the recent Kanye West video for Runaway.

Lupe Fiasco – The Show Goes On
Crystal Castles – Not In Love (feat. Robert Smith)

Metric – Gold Guns Girls (Beta Traxx Remix)
The Rolling Stones – Gimme Shelter (Zed’s Dead Remix)
Oh Land – Sun Of A Gun
Kanye West – Dark Fantasy

Let us know what you think, and which are your favourite tracks. Are you looking forward to Lasers? And how do you feel about Robert Smith collaborating with more conventional artists? Let us know in the comments!
