A few months back we covered the latest Deadmau5 collaboration with Chris James. There’s an incredibly interesting story of the creation process of this track, and one that seems likely to set a precedent for the future of musical collaborations in our connected world.
3 months after the track first reared its head a video has finally been released, directed by Manroop Takhar. With an endearing animation style developed by Qudos Animations and Warren Green, the video follows 2 characters going through a story heavily inspired by Ray Bradbury’s short story “The Veldt”.
Two children, Peter and Wendy, are walking through a virtual reality African jungle which they eventually trap their parents in, just like the sci-fi story by the iconic writer who died last month. Having written a wide variety of iconic titles, most notably Fahrenheit 451, Ray Bradbury’s stories are seeming more and more prophetic every day with the rise of internet censorship, augmented reality, and countless other developments he foresaw decades ago.
RIP Ray Bradbury
you’ve touched many lives with your work, and even a few more recently you might not have expected! Sleep well dude!
