The latest release from Watch The Throne to get a music video is No Church In The Wild, featuring rnb crooner Frank Ocean.

Watch The Throne was one of the biggest hip hop album releases of all time, marking the collaboration between two of the biggest artists in the world – Jay-Z and Kanye West. It went straight in at #1 on the Billboard charts and has had 7 singles so far (H.A.M., Otis, Lift Off, Why I Love You, Niggas In Paris, Gotta Have it, and now No Church In The Wild). I initially had quite mixed feelings about the album, but it has grown on me massively since. It’s incredibly different to Kanye’s solo offering, which has a lot less traditional hip-hop beats, and seems a lot more in Jay-Z’s camp.

The video shows a riot taking place inside a city with protesters attacking riot police, molotov cocktails being thrown, and fights breaking out between the two parties. Directed by Romain Gravas, the man behind M.I.A.’s controversial video for Born Free, the video has already stirred up quite a bit of controversy and has racked 265,000 views in under a day.

Human beings in a mob, what’s a mob to a king? What’s a king to a God? What’s a God to a non-believer? – Kanye West

What do you think of the video? Is this a topical look at the recent riots around the world, or an inflammatory attempt to cash in on controversy? Let us know in the comments!
