The long awaited B.o.B. mix-tape, No Genre, has finally been released. After his highly acclaimed album, The Adventures Of Bobby Ray, this is his first multi-track release and the Atlanta born rapper is not showing any signs of slowing down.
Sitting at 16 tracks and over an hour solid of music from one of the best upcoming rappers, No Genre is not one to miss out on.
Unlike The Adventures Of Bobby Ray’s melodic tunes, No Genre takes a more underground approach, and B.o.B. holds no punches. His lyrics seem somewhat venomous at times, and at no point does he shy away from controversy. My personal favourite track off the mix-tape is Dr. Aden, a political fuelled commentary about a US government conspiracy which seems worryingly relevant given the current political climate.
The mix-tape is available on free download, so make sure you give it a download and let us know what you think!
What do you think of Bobby Ray’s new underground sound? Should he return to his more traditional sound, or is the no-holds-barred B.o.B. an improvement? Let us know in the comments or on Facebook!
