Just want to start of this weeks recovery post by giving you an apology for my personal inactivity on the site and me missing my last recovery post completely. A mixture of uni deadlines and crazy hours at work have left me wishing there was 48 hours in a day. Rest assured ill be back to my best next week!
Anyway enough about, lets get down to music! There has not been a mass of great new tracks, but there have been a few gems for you guys to check out. I’ve managed to collect quite a mix for you guys, ranging from the new Kid Cudi collaboration with the ever great Cee-Lo to some new Lo-Fi music from Germany Germany. Before I jump into this weeks tracks however I just want to highlight a song of Felix’s Addiction Track Pack, Felix managed to get there before me but if he hadnt the new Crystal Castles Collaboration with Robert Smith from the Cure would have definitely been my title track, so make sure you hit it up now!
Right first up then is this new collaboration from Kid Cudi and Cee-Lo, its a pretty awesome song and one you should definitely hit up if you’re looking forward to this Cudi’s new album “The Legend of Mr Rager” out November 9th.
Next up we have Boy Bear – Mexican Mavis which provides us with a nice change of pace. This track is for fans of The Middle East / Cold War Kids / Mumford & Sons, and highlights the reason why we’ve seen a huge rise in popularity in Folk music. They’re a band I’ll be keeping my eye on in the future, and for good reason!
Running in a similar vibe we have the new drop from Tapes ‘n Tapes called Freakout. I’ve been a fan of this band ever since I first heard the song “Hang Them All” and have been eagerly awaiting their new album which should be out early next month, this track has renewed my anticipation.
Now for my favourite, the Lo-Fi genre. I spotted the new track from Germany Germany on Hypemachine a few days ago and fell in love with it immediately. If you’re a fan of this song be sure to support him by buying his brand new album, Radiowave on iTunes.
Also this week we have the new Lykke Li drop, and a remix of The Xx – Islands. “Get Some” is a pretty standard Lykke Li track, which is not a bad thing right? If you’re a fan of Lykke Li or artists like Uffie you should check this track out.
So did you guys like this weeks recovery track? Any tracks I’ve manged to miss this week (Very likely) that deserve a spot on Recovery? Let us know by leaving a comment here or on our Facebook.
