Despite their saturated genre the Call of Duty series, thanks to imaginative game design has created some of the most memorable moments in gaming.

Considering Call of Duty’s back catalogue of games (ranging from the WW2 trenches to modern day warfare) they have inevitably come to create Black Ops 2, a game based around future warfare.

This incursion into the realms of fantasy gives Treyarch the ability to do something truly special and break the COD mold. Of course it ‘ain’t broke’ so they shouldn’t fix the main gameplay but the potential for game changing advanced weaponry and tools whilst still maintaining that chart topping Call of Duty feel could breathe new life into the series and fend off any competing shoot em ups.

Do you think the Call of Duty series has backed itself into a corner or will future wars be a breath of fresh air? Let us know in the box below.
