Cogoo, a bicycle sharing company in Japan, have had the pretty awesome idea of combining two elements of street culture–BMX and music–into one, by successfully turning your bike into a set of turntables and a mixer. They call it the ‘Turntable Rider’. The wheels act as jog wheels, the brakes as a beat pad and the gyroscopic handlebars act as a fader pad. I think there is some obvious post-production at play here but a clever idea non-the less.

Check out the bike in action below and let us know what you think of it. This would certainly make for an interesting DJ battle and is something I would love to see in the future!

You can also watch the behind the scenes here.

What do you think of the idea? And what two things would you combine in order to create something completely new? Let us know in the comments!
